Poached Eggs with Manuka Smoke infused Balsamic Drizzle

Poached Eggs with Manuka Smoke infused Balsamic Drizzle

Ingredients:

Fresh eggs (as many as you need)

Water

Salt (optional)

White vinegar or lemon juice

Telegraph Hill premium extra virgin olive oil

Telegraph Hill Manuka Smoke infused Balsamic Drizzle

Fresh herbs (such as basil, parsley or chives) for garnish

Toast or English muffins

Instructions:

1.    Prepare the Water: Fill a large pot with water, about 2-3 inches deep. Add a splash of white vinegar or a squeeze of lemon juice to the water. The acid helps the egg whites coagulate more quickly.

2.    Heat the Water: Place the pot on the stove over medium heat. Heat the water until it's gently simmering, not boiling.

3.    Crack the Eggs: Crack each egg into a small bowl or ramekin. This makes it easier to slide the egg into the water.

4.    Create a Whirlpool: Use a spoon to gently stir the simmering water in a circular motion. This creates a whirlpool effect that helps the egg whites wrap around the yolk.

5.    Poach the Eggs: Carefully slide each cracked egg into the swirling water, one at a time. The swirling motion will help keep the egg whites together. You can poach multiple eggs at once, but don't overcrowd the pot.

6.    Cook to Desired Doneness: Let the eggs poach for about 3-4 minutes for a runny yolk, or longer if you prefer a firmer yolk. Use a slotted spoon to gently lift the poached eggs from the water and onto a plate lined with a paper towel to drain any excess water.

7.    Season and Plate: Sprinkle a pinch of salt over the poached eggs if desired. Place the poached eggs on toasted bread or English muffins. Drizzle Telegraph Hill premium extra virgin olive oil and Manuka Smoke infused Balsamic Drizzle over the eggs for a burst of flavor.

8.    Garnish: If you like, add a few Telegraph Hill premium olives on the side. You can chop them up or serve them whole for extra texture and taste.

9.    Final Touch: Garnish the poached eggs with fresh herbs like parsley or chives for a pop of colour and freshness.

10    Enjoy: Serve your Telegraph Hill Smokey Balsamic Poached Eggs immediately and savor the rich flavors of perfectly poached eggs, premium olives, and extra virgin olive oil.
